Here I am! Back again with the fourth video in this series. I love how this series has come together like a mini class taking you from the beginning to the end. These videos all focus on turning a simple paper sample book into a travel journal. I created the cover and then worked my way through the interior and today I will show you the last part of the book.

The time for me to board the plane to Azerbaijan is coming closer and I could not be more excited. Apparently the buildings, architecture and the natural beauty found there are incredible. In the last video I shared how I made a gold leafed cover. In this video we will talk about how to use scraps of paper and cutouts from magazines and other found items to create really fun backgrounds for your travel journal.

The summer is officially here and I am thinking of taking some time off for a vacation. It might be a selection of day trips, a weekend getaway or if I'm very lucky a week long break. In any case I will need a travel journal to use as a scrapbook. I love collecting memorabilia, pictures from brochures and printing and pasting my vacation pictures in an actual book.

I love planners of all kinds and I like to recycle as many things as possible. So when I pulled out my old Webster's Pages traveler's notebook and saw the cream cover with scuff marks and dents, I decided to bring out my acrylic paints.

I'm back now with a fun mini book I made using one sheet of scrapbook paper. I also brought out all my paper scraps, leftover embellishments and coloring pages to decorate this book. I used some scrapbook paper, paint and stickers too!
